Summary

It enables administrators to collect and organize information about network devices and make changes to their configurations remotely.
General
To install on RHEL/CentOS
sudo yum install net-snmp net-snmp-utils
sudo systemctl enable snmpd
Replace /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf
with:
rocommunity "{community_string}" {ip_of_snmp_collector}
sudo systemctl start snmpd
Info: Don't forget to allow snmp traffic thru your local firewall, too.
